It's really been 2 years since I've posted??

Hard to believe, I know!  Time flies when you have kids, it's crazy!  Not even sure where to start to get you all caught up.

All first we have Chris's job change.  This January he took a job at D & B Supply's corporate office working on their internal software.  It has been a big change for all of us since we have been used to having him home for the past decade.  As Liam told his Aunt Ann "My dad used to be a he is a real dad and goes to work everyday." Anyhow, Chris absolutely loves his new job - the company, the coworkers, the work itself - all make for a perfect fit.  He is still doing some of his own stuff on nights and weekends so he stays pretty busy.  Also, with D & B Supply we get a nice employee discount and because of that our yard has really improved, Chris has stocked up on DeWalt tools, and I got my first two pairs of cowgirl boots.

I'm still homeschooling the children and I love having them during the days. Brooklyn and Liam started Kung Fu last fall and have really enjoyed it.  London also participated for a few months but didn't really like it so I took her out.

I am no longer the secretary in the Relief Society but I now teach the 6-7 year olds in Primary.  I have Liam in my class along with 7 other boys and 1 girl.  They are quite the lively bunch of kids!

Last year my parents moved from Pocatello to Twin Falls, now that they are 2 hours closer we are able to visit more often and we love it.

I can't think of anything else major that has happened in the last two years (except I no longer have any kids in diapers).  I do have a desire to keep up on this blog but I can't guarantee it will happen - I will try though!  I have some different ideas/opinions and recipes I'd like to start sharing soon. In the meantime here are some cute pics of the kiddros.

Yesterday - Lexi saw Hello Kitty on her pillowcase and asked if she could have whiskers like Hello Kitty, then London wanted to be a kitty too, then Liam wanted to be a dog so he could chase the kitties and Brooklyn wanted to be a bear to chase the dog, haha!!

Catching up....again....

So I realize it's been way too long since I posted but here I am.  I just happened upon my own blog getting my potato soup recipe.  It is holiday time again and I've gotten into the Christmas Spirit early this year.  My goal this season is to do many acts of service.  Starting today we, as a family, will be doing a service project every Monday for Family Home Evening until the end of the year.  I don't have all the service projects planned yet.  I am praying for service opportunities and believe God will lead me to those that need my help.  We are starting with making dinner tonight for a friend of mine that has not been well the past few months.

Anyways, I won't go clear back until May but I will say we made a few trips to Portland, traded in our minivan for a Jeep and made lots of trips to the swimming pool.

Here are some of the things that we've done since September!

I ran my first 10k - made my goal of no walking through the whole thing - even up the ginormous hill!  And I didn't come in last, either!

This was on the event web page - I followed that girl with the blue hair for about the first 4 miles.

In September my Irish Twins had their birthdays - Brooklyn is now 6 and Liam is 5!  For Liam's birthday we took him to dinner and then to Toys 'R' Us - his dad spoiled him with a big Lego train set.

For Brooklyn's birthday I threw her a surprise My Little Pony party - not the best idea, she didn't really like the surprise aspect but she warmed up to the party idea after a bit.

(From L-R Liam, Scott, Evelyn, Julia, Chloe, Sarah Jane, Lizzie)

I took this on her actual birthday - her beauty and wit amaze me!

We enrolled her in dance - she counts down the days every week.

In October we took a trip to my Mom's.  We went to her church fall carnival, watched General Conference and had a great time visiting.  Whilst I was there I also got to visit with my friends Cassie and Jamie.  It is always great to see them - we've been friends for 25 years and I love them to death.

For Halloween we went to our ward trunk or treat.  The kids had a blast.  We skipped trick or treating and stayed home to watch a movie and pass out candy.  Here is my darling little Queen Elsa.

My brother, Spencer and his family came to the trunk or treat with us.  Isn't my nephew, Jack, the most adorable tiger you've ever seen???

The weather stayed nice well into October so we took advantage by going to the park.

In November we had London's birthday, she is 3!  I don't get lucky enough to get these types of pictures very often - with all 4 kids smiling and in one place at once.

For London's birthday Chris and I took her to Build-A-Bear where she made this dog (we had never been before) and then we ate at Old Chicago.  A great time was had by all.

Last week we got a huge snowfall, almost 8" in a day and a half!

We took a trip to the golf course to go sledding - which was a bit of a disaster.  Brooklyn and Lexi had fun but London was too scared to go down and Liam cried when he had to climb back up the hill and walking back to the car.  It was pretty hard walking in that deep snow.  But it was still worth it!

This was a little more of Liam's style - sledding down Ann's back porch steps with cousin Scott!

Also last week - after 5 1/2 years living in Idaho, Chris FINALLY got his Idaho Driver's License (his Oregon license expired on his birthday in October).  We let London tag along while my super awesome sister watched the rest of the kids.

As for me, I've been staying busy homeschooling Brooklyn and Liam, raising 4 littles, trying to stay ahead of the laundry and with my calling as Relief Society Secretary.  Chris is busy with work and sleep and sleep and work.  It's really been a good year!

Almost Summer

I can't believe how fast this year has gone already!  It's already May!!

Well so far we have had a good year. In February Chris and celebrated our 10th Anniversary. My parents came and watched the kids while we had a "staycation". We got a hotel in Boise for a few days and relaxed. We came home to this:

We had a lot of fun but missed the kids since it was our first time away from them overnight (other than when I went to the hospital to have my babies).

In April I took the kids to Pocatello. I got to hang out with my besties - Cassie and Jamie. It was awesome, I had a great time. This picture was at Brooklyn's Playground in Pocatello.

Then last week we took a trip to Portland. Chris had some business meetings to go to. It was our first time back to Oregon in 5 years. We took Brooklyn and Liam, London and Lexi stayed with my sister, Ann.

The bad news was we were all sick with an awful cold the whole time but the good news is we still managed to have a lot of fun. The nights were the worst - couldn't sleep at all but during the day we felt a lot better.

We traveled the "back way" through Bend, OR to get there.  We got to go through these pretty mountains:

After 9 longs hours in the car we finally got to the hotel and took a nice long nap. Then I took the kids to the pool and afterward we went to a late dinner with some friends.

The next day we were off to the coast. The kids had fun playing in the water (they were running and just getting their shoes wet) until Brooklyn tripped and fell in the water. Brrrr!!!

Then we headed north to Tillamook and toured the Tillamook Cheese Factory.

We always end the tour with an ice cream cone. ALWAYS.

Then we headed over to Portland to rest up for Chris's meetings the next day. While he went to his meetings I drove back down to Salem with the kids to meet some friends I hadn't seen in years. We had a wonderful time.

We also stopped at the Woodburn Outlet stores so I could do a bit of shopping - the kids had fun playing too!

The second day that Chris had meetings we went to IKEA - it was a little bit of heaven!  One of my favorite stores ever.

All my loot:

After that the kids were exhausted - they were still not feeling great. So we went back to the hotel to rest.

That night we decided to venture out to the Washington Square Mall to take the kids to the Lego store.  They had a blast!

I miss this pretty city.

Christmas time!!

Watching "A Christmas Story" with Brooklyn.

Lexington had her first birthday in December - can't believe it's been a year already!

London in nursery.

Brooklyn in her Christmas dress.

Silly faces!

A special FHE activity watching "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer"

First snow of December...

Cuddling with Daddy because she was not feeling well :(

Brooklyn was sick too - she had been throwing up and Liam wanted to take care of her.

Christmas Eve!!!

I made a ton of Christmas cookies on Christmas Eve, Santa likes sugar cookies and oatmeal cookies, did you know?

Opening of the Christmas jammies!

Christmas morning - oh the excitement!

London got into Liam's new stamp set on Christmas Day - oh Lo!

On the way to Aunt Ann's house...London is the one faking sleep, haha!

We brought a bunch of the sugar cookie to decorate - the kids had a lot of fun.

Liam went a little crazy with sprinkles - and then ate the whole thing!

Ann took this picture of me with Lexi, I love it!

This was the day after Christmas - our furnace stopped working on Christmas Day so the kids piled in our room with the space heater.

Spencer had his kids for Christmas break and they came over for a visit - they had a fantastic time together.

Kissing the owies better...
